This is a super delicious, easy, and enjoyable breakfast for those days when you want to treat yourself, and not with something of the croissant variety.
Not for everyday eating, but a little bit of butter and honey never killed anyone. I don’t think so at least!
The star of the show is this jar of heaven. Honey, Salted Butter, and cinnamon. This is a ‘raw’ honey and it is local to me so I feel it is a good option. This is a little snippet taken from their website, heavenlyhoney.ca:
“What makes Heavenly Honey different from bulk honey available at the supermarket? It is all natural, uncontaminated by imported honey and is not heated excessively during extraction. This preserves the natural flavours and nutritional benefits of the honey. This preserves the natural flavours and nutritional benefits of the honey. These unique characteristics of so called “raw” honey contribute immensely when it is used to sweeten a fresh cup of tea!”
I feel like it is perfect for that yummy sweet breakfast we all need once in a while! If you don;t have access to a similar product, I BET you could just mix together your own blend of honey, butter, and cinnamon and achieve the same results.
Melting the honey butter mixture // smashing my fresh blueberries
1 tbsp Butter, Honey, and Cinnamon blend
1/3 c fresh blueberries
1 pre-made homemade sausage (mine if from a recipe in bill and hayley’s book Make it Paleo)
Melt the butter/honey in a small frying pan. Crack 2 pastured eggs on top. Cook as usual. I like my yolks to NOT be runny for this recipe.
Meanwhile, heat up your sausage!! I would really recommend bacon with this as well.
After the eggs are done, put them on a plate and pop the blueberries into your pan. Let them heat up and smoosh them a bit, and voila! Serve all together, and enjoy, please!
And yes, this was my breakfast this morning. Thursday is my Saturday!!!
